Fatimah Hishmeh, LCPC

Fatimah Hishmeh is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, who graduated from the Psychology program at Governors State University. Fatimah approaches counseling with empathy, understanding and genuineness. She believes authenticity and trust are vital components in the counseling process and believes change happens in the context of relationships.

Fatimah has over 12 years of experience in working with children and families. Her clinical training has included working with individuals experiencing trauma, addiction, life-transitions, grief and adjustment. She feels passionate about seeing individuals in a holistic perspective and empowering them to change their lives. It is her goal to see clients living out a balanced and healthy life.

Fatimah is accepting new clients for telehealth and in person. She currently take United Healthcare and in process of paneling with BCBS PPO.

Brenda Alvarado, Business Manager/ Intern Therapist in Training (Fall of 2023)

Brenda will be graduating from Governors State University in spring of 2025 as a Clinical Mental Health Therapist with accreditation by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling & Related Educational Programs. She meets the high standards, evolve with the changing landscape, and adequately prepare to meet the needs of her clients.  

Brenda’s passions include treating children, adolescence, young adults, parents, and families.

She strongly believes in Holistic psychotherapy which addresses the mind, body, and spirit to support health and healing. Alongside Cognitive Behavior therapy, play therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing she is prepared to support clients and tailor to their own identified goals and needs. Soon to be a licensed therapist Brenda’s goal is to learn about her clients and help them work towards their individual goals using professional knowledge and creativity. She is excited and driven to help kids and families through difficulties and help guide through life transitions. Brenda welcomes the opportunity to provide elite services to you and your family.

Brenda accepts BCBS PPO insurance only. (Starting this Fall). She is under the supervision of Arrie Simpson, LCPC

Teresa Elayyan, Yoga Therapist/ Resident Therapist in Training

Teresa Elayyan is a certified alcohol and drug counselor, Illinois certified domestic violence
professional, certified yoga teacher, certified sound healer, and Reiki practitioner sound healer. She recently graduated with a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Chicago State University.

Teresa has worked with people suffering from substance use disorders, co-occurring
disorders, trauma, domestic violence issues, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorders and an array of other mental health issues. She created a technique that combines body movement, meditation, Reiki energy, and sound frequencies among psychotherapy to facilitate a therapeutic environment
that treats the individual from an holistic approach.

She is passionate about providing empathetic, non-judgmental services and believes that change first starts within…. If one person makes changes,
all of humanity changes.

Teresa takes BCBS PPO insurance only. She is under the Supervision of Arrie Simpson, LCPC.
